‏ Revelation of John 16

and ^athe sanctuary was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from his power, and ^bno one could enter the sanctuary until the seven plagues of the seven angels were finished.

The Seven Bowls of God’s Wrath

2 Then I heard a loud voice from the temple telling ^cthe seven angels, “Go and ^dpour out on the earth ^ethe seven bowls of the wrath of God.”

3 So the first angel went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and harmful and painful ^fsores came upon the people who bore ^gthe mark of the beast and worshiped its image.

4 The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and ^hit became like the blood of a corpse, and ⁱevery living thing died that was in the sea.

5 The third angel poured out his bowl into ^jthe rivers and the springs of water, and ^kthey became blood. 6 And I heard the angel in charge of the waters ^{▼▼Greek angel of the waters} say,

^m“Just are you, ⁿO Holy One, ^owho is and who was,
for you brought these judgments.
7 For ^pthey have shed the blood of ^qsaints and prophets,
and ^ryou have given them blood to drink.
It is what they deserve!”

8 And I heard ^sthe altar saying,

“Yes, Lord God the Almighty,
^ttrue and just are your judgments!”

9 The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was allowed to scorch people ^uwith fire. 10 They were scorched by the fierce heat, and ^vthey cursed ^{▼▼Greek blasphemed; also verses 11, 21} the name of God who had power over these plagues. ^xThey did not repent ^yand give him glory.

11 The fifth angel poured out his bowl on ^zthe throne of the beast, and ^aaits kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in anguish 12 and cursed ^abthe God of heaven for their pain and ^acsores. ^adThey did not repent of their deeds.

13 The sixth angel poured out his bowl on ^aethe great river Euphrates, and ^afits water was dried up, ^agto prepare the way for the kings ^ahfrom the east. 14 And I saw, coming out of the mouth of ^aithe dragon and out of the mouth of ^ajthe beast and out of the mouth of ^akthe false prophet, three ^alunclean spirits like ^amfrogs. 15 For they are ^andemonic spirits, ^aoperforming signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, ^apto assemble them for battle on ^aqthe great day of God the Almighty. 16 (“Behold, ^arI am coming like a thief! ^asBlessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, ^atthat he may not go about naked and be seen exposed!”) 17 And ^authey assembled them at the place that in Hebrew is called ^avArmageddon.

The Seventh Bowl

18 The seventh angel poured out his bowl into ^awthe air, and a loud voice came out of the temple, from the throne, saying, ^ax“It is done!” 19 And there were ^ayflashes of lightning, rumblings, ^{▼▼Or voices, or sounds} peals of thunder, and ^baa great earthquake ^bbsuch as there had never been since man was on the earth, so great was that earthquake. 20 ^bcThe great city ^bdwas split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell, and God ^beremembered ^bfBabylon the great, ^bgto make her drain the cup of the wine of the fury of his wrath. 21 And ^bhevery island fled away, and no mountains were to be found.
